There's this show some of you may or may not have heard about. It is Elfen Lied, and it earns its Mature Rating quite easily. Imagine the concept for a minute. The show centers around a Diclonus, a human with 'horns' that look more like cat ears and four, two meter long invisible arms. She is, I guarantee you, not the only one.
Diclonus have this tendency to kill the humans they're with and spare other species. As a result, the show tends to get violent. It is also psychologically trying, so those of you walking into a show like this bette be prepared.
Despite its violent nature, Elfen Lied is a good show--not for everyone, but a good show in that it shows how a variety of events can lead to a person's destruction. Lucy, the main character along with Kohta, has a difficult past that, while not justifying her behavior, offers plenty of explanations. I wouldn't say I'd condone everything in the show, not that the show suggests you should, though.

Well, Elfen Lied is a little bit old, have it already for sometime (I think around 8 months, or so). Still I liked it a lot and hope that the scanlation of the manga progresses soon again. The Manga is a little bit different than the anime. It contains more story and it looks like the ending is completley different. Somehow like Hellsing
